mike could feel the rosiness rising to his cheeks upon feeling eddie take his hand and kiss his knuckles. he had to clear his throat and ATTEMPT to will the blush away. per usual, it did no good, but he was too happy at that moment to care. he was recreating constellations with the help of his boyfriend, said boyfriend was being as sweet as sugar, saying wonderfully cheesy things and making mike’s insides feel like mush. how could he NOT be happy? he was in his element and got to share the experience with eddie. what more could he want? speaking of…

          “ yeah, of course! ” mike beamed, giving eddie’s hand a gentle squeeze. “ you can’t just have one without the other. ” just like the two of them. especially now. always together, rarely apart. it was odd to catch one of them without the other one. he could feel his blush deepen the more he thought of what eddie said. it DEFINITELY wouldn’t be the same as having eddie there with him, but he wondered if it would be enough to hold him over until they got to see each other again. mike hoped so.

          reluctantly, mike took his hand back, set about finishing the rest of his orion constellation, and gazed up at it in approval once he’d finished. it wasn’t NEARLY as good as the real thing, but he was happy with it nevertheless. time to start working on taurus, then aries. but they wouldn’t be able to do all of that just from mike’s bed. he’d have to get some chairs. they SHOULD be able to get taurus done without having to move much, though. so until it was aries’ turn…

          mike got an idea. “ oh hey, do you wanna help me? ” of course, eddie was ALREADY helping him, but he thought it would be fun if eddie went a step further. “ c’mon, get up here! ” he prompted, holding out his hand for eddie to take. “ i promise i won’t let you fall. i just think that if we’re gonna do this, who better to help with taurus than you? ”
